Series description

Need bottled ink or refills?

Crosshatch Steel $12.00 Sold out

The Hero '50' series contains some of the wildest finishes, yet least expensive pens in the whole line. All of the pens in this series include a large capacity aerometric or 'pump' converter for ink bottle filling, and have slip caps that snap securely closed. The gold-plated steel nibs in this series are classified as 'fine', however nibs from Asia tend to run finer than those from Europe or the U.S., and these nibs are no exception. The Crosshatch steel is the last of this series that I have currently in stock.

Hero50GoldPandaNib.jpg (33389 bytes)The first is a gold-plated steel nib in fine, with a stylized "50" symbol in the center, and  the Chinese characters for "Hero" on the sides. The shape and design of the nib is reminiscent of the one designed originally for the Parker 75. This is a rather stiff nib, and is especially appropriate for those just being introduced to fountain pens, as it will stand up well to the pressure that many people have learned to apply when using ballpoints.

Here's another understated pen in steel, with etched intersecting parallel lines. It measures 5" capped and 5-1/2" posted, and sports a gold-plated steel nib in fine, with a stylized "50" symbol in the center, and the Chinese characters for "Hero" engraved upon the sides. The clip is engraved with the Hero "H" symbol, and a black line runs down its length. The texture provided by the etched lines provides an interesting visual appeal to this pen.

Warranties and returns

If an item proves to be defective, in most cases the manufacturer's warranty will apply. However, please email us first so that we can determine the easiest way to resolve the problem to your satisfaction. In the case of fountain pens -- which are a bit more individualistic than other writing instruments -- what may at first appear to be a defect (hard starting or poor flow for example), can in almost all cases be resolved with a few simple 'tweaks' to the nib, which we'll be happy to guide you through or perhaps suggest returning to us for adjustment.

Should you wish to return a non-defective item within 3 days of receipt because it doesn't suit you for some reason, again please email us and we'll arrange an exchange, credit or refund (minus any shipping/insurance charges), if the item is returned in an 'as new' condition. If you've dipped a fountain pen to try its writing characteristics, kindly clean off any ink residue prior to shipping -- to save us both a nasty surprise .

We want you to be happy with your purchase from His Nibs.com and hope to have you join the ranks of our many long-term, repeat customers!
