Series description

The Hero Oversize '902' series pen sets. These are terrific pen sets, featuring a fountain pen and ballpoint. These are large pens, with the ballpoint measuring 5-3/4" in length, while the fountain pen comes in at an even 6" capped, and over 6-3/4" posted! The ballpoint comes with a standard blue refill (I'd say a fine), and twists to release the point. The fountain pen sports a "900" series two-toned, 14K gold nib in medium with the Hero "H" symbol and "14K 900" engraved. However, nibs from Asia tend to run finer than those from Europe or the U.S., and this nib is no exception. The clips of both pens have the name "Doctor" in script, which is repeated on the front of each golden cap band. Also engraved on the bands is "Made in Hero China"! The fountain pen includes a large capacity pump filler for ink-bottle filling. Just gazing at these pens should keep you warm this winter!

Autumn Leaves is my own name for this gorgeous fountain pen and ballpoint combination. When I first saw it, all I could think of was the riotous colors I'm privileged to witness each Fall here in the Northeast, as a hundred different species of tree lose their uniform green. The photograph does not do justice to the combination of red, yellow, green, brown, gray, white and black. The autumn colors are reprised on the lid of the beautiful, satin and velvet-lined pen box, which sits within a sturdy satin-lined gift box. Just gazing at these pens should keep you warm this winter!

Spring Flowers    $150.00

This set is adorned with a beautiful spray of flowers, hand engraved and hand painted on a rich, red/orange lacquer. The flowers are reprised on the lid of the beautiful, satin and velvet-lined pen box, which sits within a sturdy satin-lined gift box. It makes a gorgeous gift for the flower -- and pen -- lover!

Warranties and returns

If an item proves to be defective, in most cases the manufacturer's warranty will apply. However, please email us first so that we can determine the easiest way to resolve the problem to your satisfaction. In the case of fountain pens -- which are a bit more individualistic than other writing instruments -- what may at first appear to be a defect (hard starting or poor flow for example), can in almost all cases be resolved with a few simple 'tweaks' to the nib, which we'll be happy to guide you through or perhaps suggest returning to us for adjustment.

Should you wish to return a non-defective item within 3 days of receipt because it doesn't suit you for some reason, again please email us and we'll arrange an exchange, credit or refund (minus any shipping/insurance charges), if the item is returned in an 'as new' condition. If you've dipped a fountain pen to try its writing characteristics, kindly clean off any ink residue prior to shipping -- to save us both a nasty surprise .
