Delta Animals Collection -- Dolphin FP   $335.00    $234.50    Sold out

Part of the Delta Animals collection, I couldn't resist actually stocking this pen. It's such a beauty, and I've always had a fascination with cetaceans (which include dolphins and whales -- read more here).

The pen itself is light, being all resin, but is quite large in size (5-1/8" capped, 6" posted and about 5/8" diameter where most people would grip). It's a screw-on cap to close, but friction fit for posting. The blue resin selected for the cap is ideal for the subject matter in my opinion, as it captures the feel of the ocean.

The beautiful dolphin, which wraps itself around the cap, is not a clip, so this is a pen that needs to travel in a pen case or secured in a flapped pocket, purse, etc. Contrary to the blue that the top photo shows -- which is from the Delta catalog -- the barrel is a lustrous black resin, as shown in my scans and photos.

The pens I stock all have the lovely Delta 18K gold nib in medium, but the following sizes are available through nib exchange with YAFA (the importer and warranty service center): EEF, EF, F, M, B, BB, OM, OB & Stub. The pen is a cartridge/converter fill, and the included piston converter for bottled ink screws into the section for a secure fit.

Although not a limited edition, each pen is individually numbered on the barrel, beneath 'DELTA Italy' and 'Animals Collection', and next to the Delta reversed-nib logo. The warranty booklet that accompanies the specially designed Animals gift box further details the three previous animals in the collection -- Crocodile, Elephant and Polar Bear.

Warranties and returns

If an item proves to be defective, in most cases the manufacturer's warranty will apply. However, please email us first so that we can determine the easiest way to resolve the problem to your satisfaction. In the case of fountain pens -- which are a bit more individualistic than other writing instruments -- what may at first appear to be a defect (hard starting or poor flow for example), can in almost all cases be resolved with a few simple 'tweaks' to the nib, which we'll be happy to guide you through or perhaps suggest returning to us for adjustment.

Should you wish to return a non-defective item within 3 days of receipt because it doesn't suit you for some reason, again please email us and we'll arrange an exchange, credit or refund (minus any shipping/insurance charges), if the item is returned in an 'as new' condition. If you've dipped a fountain pen to try its writing characteristics, kindly clean off any ink residue prior to shipping -- to save us both a nasty surprise .

We want you to be happy with your purchase from HisNibs.com and hope to have you join the ranks of our many long-term, repeat customers!
