In its original form, the Woody station wagon was the ultra-dependable workhouse of families, camps and businesses in the middle of the 20th century and precursor to the minivan and SUV. While life has changed around the Woody Wagon, its heritage has been kept alive by collectors and those who are obsessed with ocean sports. The Woody look is now synonymous with the surfer generation, in all its color and excitement.

YAFA has brought together this reproduction of the famous Ford 1949 Woody Wagon, and created a Special Edition ballpoint in its image. The wood barrel has been crafted from the finest maple and rosewood inlays, and the cap is lacquer over solid brass. Measuring 5-1/2" with point extended,  this is a full sized ballpoint pen that is actually 3 pens in one, as the Parker-style gel and capless rollerball refills will also fit (available here). The clip is inlaid with a colorful surfboard, in keeping with the beach theme.

The Woody Wagon is available in six different colors (Sunset Purple and Driftwood Brown almost look black from a distance, but their true color shines forth under direct light), and each measures 5-3/4", bumper to bumper. Constructed of die-cast metal and plastic, the wheels spin (including the spare ). The two front doors open, and opening the hood reveals the Woody Wagon's powerful V-8 engine. The roof rack supports a removable surfboard for your excursion to the beach, and once removed serves as a handy pen rest, should you decide to park your Woody Wagon on your desk.

Each wagon and pen are housed in a plastic gift box, which has a scene of a tropical beach behind, and a highway blacktop below. What more do you need to make it through the hot days of summer?

Warranties and returns

If an item proves to be defective, in most cases the manufacturer's warranty will apply. However, please email us first so that we can determine the easiest way to resolve the problem to your satisfaction. In the case of fountain pens -- which are a bit more individualistic than other writing instruments -- what may at first appear to be a defect (hard starting or poor flow for example), can in almost all cases be resolved with a few simple 'tweaks' to the nib, which we'll be happy to guide you through or perhaps suggest returning to us for adjustment.

Should you wish to return a non-defective item within 3 days of receipt because it doesn't suit you for some reason, again please email us and we'll arrange an exchange, credit or refund (minus any shipping/insurance charges), if the item is returned in an 'as new' condition. If you've dipped a fountain pen to try its writing characteristics, kindly clean off any ink residue prior to shipping -- to save us both a nasty surprise .

We want you to be happy with your purchase from HisNibs.com and hope to have you join the ranks of our many long-term, repeat customers!
